Facial Contouring

About The Treatment

What are Facial Contours?

Facial contouring refers to non-surgical cosmetic treatments that aim to add or restore shape and proportions of the face. These treatments can involve the use of fillers or other approved injectable products to define areas such as the cheeks, jawline, or chin.

Rather than altering facial structure permanently, facial contouring provides temporary change in definition, balance, and symmetry. It is important to note that results vary from person to person, and ongoing maintenance treatments are usually needed.

Benefits of Facial Contouring

Add definition of features such as the jawline, cheeks, and chin.

Increase balance or symmetry between different areas of the face.

Restore lost volume caused by ageing.

Provide subtle, temporary improvements without surgery.

Quick sessions with little to no interruption to daily life.

Risks of Facial Contouring

Like all cosmetic procedures, facial contouring carries risks. These should be carefully considered before undertaking treatment. Common risks & side effects may include:

Swelling, redness, bruising or tenderness around the injection sites.

Minor bleeding or discomfort at injection sites.

Temporary asymmetry while swelling settles.

Infection, if sterility is not maintained.

Allergic reactions, which are rare.

Vascular complications (if filler enters or blocks a blood vessel), which can cause skin damage and, in rare cases, more serious outcomes.

Scarring or persistent nodules in rare cases.

Any concerns following the treatment should be discussed promptly with the practitioner.

Facial Contouring Treatment Process

The Facial Contour procedure generally includes the following steps:

Pre-Treatment Consultation

Your practitioner, Linda, will assess your facial anatomy, discuss what you want, and outcomes (shape, volume, definition), review medical history (including allergy history), procedure and set realistic expectations. If you decide to proceed, the area will be cleaned using aseptic technique and then a high-grade numbing cream over for 10 minutes.

Facial Contour Treatment

During the treatment, our practitioner uses a series of precise micro-injections to deliver hyaluronic acid and other nourishing ingredients directly into the skin. The process stimulates collagen production while replenishing hydration at a deeper level than topical creams can reach. Each session typically lasts 30–45 minutes.

Recovery & Aftercare

Patients will be given written and verbal aftercare instructions to support recovery and reduce the likelihood of adverse effects. Most clients return to normal activities the same day. Results build gradually, with optimal improvements seen after a short course of treatments.
