One of the most popular cosmetic treatments today as our lips are the first to show aging and having thin lips can affect the overall symmetry to your face. Thanks to science we can now replenish our lips and have that enviable pout. A more fine and softer dermal filler is typically used in the lips.
Lip fillers are very safe to use and are TGA approved. At Replenish Co we only have an experienced Registered Nurse or Doctor to inject. This minimises risk for you. We are trained for any sudden allergic reactions that might arise and we also have a better understanding of the face anatomy. We believe that a balanced look is key to complimenting anyone’s look. We recommend having the procedure 2 weeks before any events for optimal recovery and desired look.
What to expect
An initial complimentary consultation, you will receive an assessment and a treatment plan that will support your goals and any concerns you may have. If you have any allergies or are on any medications, it is important for you to advise us during the consultation. We will explain exactly what to expect, the cost and the process. If you decide to proceed, the area will be cleaned using aseptic technique and then a high-grade numbing cream over your lips for 10 minutes. For the treatment you will be laying down with your head at a 45-degree angle. Using a very fine needle to inject the Dermal Filler into the treatment areas. Discomfort is very minor, short and ends when the treatment ends.
Post Treatment Care
Once the treatment is over you will be able to return work. There will be some swelling and we advise the following:
- No hot or cold liquids for 2 hours.
- No massaging of the area unless advised to do so
- No strenuous exercise for 48 hours
- No exposure to sun or tanning beds for 24 hours
- Swelling will be most noticeable for the initial 72 hours and in the morning.
It is common for some bruising to occur and some tenderness. If you experience any inflammatory responses, please call the injector for a review to discuss any treatment plans that may be needed.
