What to expect?
An initial consultation when a Registered Nurse discusses your goals and concerns. If you have any allergies, medical conditions or are on any medications, it is important for you to advise us during this consultation.
We use a high-grade numbing cream on the treatment areas for 10 minutes before the injections start. A local anaesthetic is incorporated into the gel which also greatly reduces any discomfort during the treatment. The treatment itself will take about 20 minutes. Most clients are able to return to work after treatment. Depending on your age and skin type you may experience some bruising, swelling, redness or tenderness for a week or 2 after treatment. You should be able to cover the bruising and redness with makeup. If you experience any inflammatory or other more severe reactions that last longer than a week then you should notify the injector immediately. If necessary, an appropriate treatment plan may be advised.
Post Treatment Care
Treatment can last from 12-18 months depending on age, skin texture, degree of sun damage, skin elasticity and overall health.
Typical side effects usually resolve within a few days. You should avoid all strenuous exercise for the first 48 hours. Do not massage or apply pressure to the treated area unless directed to do so and avoid sun exposure and heat for 24 hours. Alcohol should also be avoided for the first 24 hours.
No other treatments to the areas should be administered in the first 2 weeks eg: Laser, chemical skin peels, PDO Mono threading.
You may also experience minor swelling/inflammatory reaction for the first 48 hours and minor bruising that can be covered with makeup. Do not massage the treated areas product will stabilize in your tissues and the lumpiness will subside over a few days.
