PDO Mono Threads is an innovative treatment that reverses the signs of aging. It is less painful than the typical anchoring threads as the threads do not have anchors. The lift isn’t as dramatic as anchor threads, but PDO Mono Threads do continue to stimulate collagen and elastin over months. 

PDO Mono Threads are made of polydioxanone, and Silhouette Soft threads are made of poly L-lactic acid (PLLA) PLLA is commonly used for medical applications such as orthopaedic pins, screws and sutures. Studies have shown that the threads stimulate Type 1 Collagen Synthesis. 

PDO Mono Threads are ideal for jowls, jawline, brow lift, neck lift and decolletage. It has even been used above knees where the skin wrinkles due to aging. 

What to expect

An initial consultation, a registered Nurse or Doctor will assess your needs and discuss your goals and any concerns you may have. If you have any allergies or are on any medications, it is important for you to advise us during the consultation. 

We cannot provide treatment if:

· You have any open sores, acne or rashes

· You have sunburn

· You have raised moles or warts in the area

· You have received anti-wrinkle, dermal fillers, laser, chemical peels, waxing, depilatory creams in the area in the past two weeks.

· It is not recommended if you suffer from any blood clotting disorders, pregnant or suffer from diabetes.

The area of treatment will be sterilised and then a layer of numbing cream will be applied to the area being treated for 10 minutes. 

For the treatment you will be laying down flat on your back. The threads are inserted with a very fine needle into the dermis. The pain is very minimal although the neck area and mouth area is known to be a little more sensitive. 

Post Treatment Care

Your skin will immediately show irritation and redness around the treated areas. You may experience a little swelling and bruising around the injection sites. Applying ice on the swelling will alleviate this quickly. We recommend oral analgesia for the initial 48 hours to alleviate any discomfort. Your skin will fill tights and firm and it is important not to massage the area.

For best results after your procedure:

· Do not open your mouth wide – including yawning, laughing and chewing hard foods

· Massage the area

· No exercise for the first 5 days

· No alcohol for the first 48 hours

· Perform any dental procedures

· No makeup for 48 hours

· Cleanse twice a day

· Sleep on your back for 3 days

· No other facial treatments for 2 weeks
